time to recover

Surgery is behind now and it went
well, even coming home a day early.
My days: PT, resting, replying to lovely
letters, reading if I can keep my eyes open,
and watching movies,

Any suggestions?

Have you seen 'Young Victoria'? We just loved that one. My current favorite! :)

Btw, so glad to read you again. And so thankful that the surgery went well.

The other hip?

Praying for comfort and healing . . .

Librivox recordings? You can keep your eyes closed for them. ;-)

We just LOVED the BBC mini-series Little Dorrit! We saw it on Netflix and that's one we plan to purchase!

I will email you later on the other question . . . been uberfocused on finalizing plans for the school year.

So glad it went well! Looking forward to reading your thoughts again. I'm reading "Lives Like Loaded Guns" about Emily Dickinson and finding it fascinating.

"Summertime" with Kathryn Hepburn and Rosanno Brazzi! Travel to Venice for a while while you recuperate.

Then you can go to Italy with "The Enchanted April" if you are in the mood...

I loved Masterpiece Theatre's Elizabeth R. There are 6 episodes - around 7 hours or so I think. You can watch it instantly at Netflix. I watched it while folding laundry over a 2 week period - can you believe I spent that much time folding laundry in 2 weeks? That's when I listen to sermons or other audios and watch movies!

You might also try Songcatcher, The Butterfly (French), The Botony of Desire (interesting 'documentary' about plants - sort of...loved the part on apples), I have been wanting to watch Amelie, we love Goldsworthy's Rivers and Tides, Jim Henson's Greek Myths are for kids but are REALLY well done, I also LOVED Seraphine (also French), and every now and then you must watch the old Heidi - or at least I do. You can watch all of these instantly on Netflix. I should stop - I must leave you time to exercise, and eat and write letters and READ!! Much love and see you soon.

To all the other comments I would add, if you fall asleep, let it happen. Your body needs rest as it heals. Do I sound like a nurse?

We're back and hope to be in touch soon.

The Anne of Green Gables miniseries is a favorite. I could watch that over and over.
