Winter Snow Gratitude

Two photos from the last snow taken in front
of our street.
Second one is photoshop but that is what it
looks like today with another BIG SNOW STORM
today. I love being IN for
the day or many days! The world stops and rests.

I'm having my students write a metaphor , one line poem
from Wendell Berry's haiku:

Like Snow

Suppose we did our work
like the snow, quietly, quietly
leaving nothing out.

How about you trying?!!

Stay warm, cup of tea, a journal,
a book, even FIND Larkrise to
Candleford Season 4 that aired
in the UK last night. We did last
night and stayed up to past midnight
as a new person comes to town!

And we watched the first installment of a new PBS (BBC) movie that is on this month on Sunday nights. It's called 'Downton Abbey' and we just loved it.

I think that the first one can be watched online sometime this week.

Will look for what you watched. :)

I saw half of it..........so I'm not sure I know the story . Will look online. There was Robert Timmons from Larkrise as Mr. Bates!

Oh yes Robert Timmons!! Your sno pics are great. I guess I couldn't find LR last night as it hadn't aired. Ca't wait to see it. Lydia Grace has LR now. I told Mary. Sounds like you need to tell Melissa about LR !!!

I need to find time to watch all these things! I think my boy brought the snow with him to Charlotte - they canceled the flights behind him. We're at 6 inches and counting. Beautiful pic.
Ring true,
Nancy

I watched Downton Abbey last night too, and had to wrack my brain for a moment until I remembered where I had seen that face (Mr. Bates) before!

I have been waiting for that DVD rental company to make Lark Rise to Candleford Season 3 available (I don't like watching movies on my computer)....did you watch them online? And now we are up to the fourth season....I'm falling behind!
