Keeping an eye out on the changing times

Teachers being laid off.
600 in our county. Performance
based.

Library closings being discussed
downtown as I write.

Who wants to be a teacher now?
Where will they get a job?

Who wants to be in the medical
profession? Need to ask my brother
who is a PA. What is the talk in his
office now? My nephew is in his
third year of Medical School.
Wonder what his take on this is.

Need to Keep our eyes on Jesus.
So much changing. Too fast.

Any comments on where you live
with all of this. Encouragement
needed!

Not sure as this is encouraging, but is what's going on with me. I've been obsessed with money (or the lack thereof!)for way too long, but the Lord has gotten my attention lately. Clearly He's speaking to me in the little things. Like me having to wait to spend out of our checking account because I made a mistake and have to wait until everything clears before spending more....have to be sure of that balance.

The Lord is reminding me that I don't have to plead for His goodness, but just breathe my need. He's hearing all of it. And in reference to what I wrote above, our daughter gave me some money to take myself out to lunch today...purely spur of the moment (rest of kids at my mom's), and my mother gave me a twenty which I spent at the grocery.

He hears it all, and I think He likes to bless us with the little things.

That in itself encourages me. And remember the verse about our Father owning the cattle on a thousand hills, or something like that? I take comfort in that as well. :)

I love you, Bonnie.

OH thank you Melissa!
That brings tears to me.
I love that line: but just breathe my need.

At least the libraries are open , plan until July. But that gives time to see things work and lives will change with hours being shorter.

I love the little things God does.
He has some BIG ones now in our land, doesn't HE!
