glory

Don't you wish to see this happen, you know, seeing the Gospel in person and He saves those you love like Mary & Martha's Lazarus:

John 11: 40 Jesus looked her in the eye. “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

Rembrandt: The Rising of Lazarus

They removed the stone. Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and prayed, “Father, I’m grateful that you have listened to me. I know you always do listen, but on account of this crowd standing here I’ve spoken so that they might believe that you sent me.

I've heard tell it's his most amazing painting. I can see why.

There is one at the Morgan Library in NYC that I would love to see: his very first painting. A friend of mine saw it and said it shined in glory like Jesus' words.
