Be Still

VI
Sit and be still
until in the time
of no rain you hear
beneath the dry wind's
commotion in the trees
the sound of flowing
water among the rocks,
a stream unheard before,
and you are where
breathing is prayer.
Sabbath 2001, Wendell
Berry

Those words are just beautiful...reminding me of Ted Kooser, but Berry so often brings him to my mind anyway.

The painting is perfect as well. :) Thanks for the quiet post. I needed that more than you can know.
