Giving a workshop at this
Charlotte Mason conference
on Thursday. Any ones that you
have loved and had to read over
and over again?
Thanks!
"We don't think much when we don't
know much. But we can wonder!
From now until tomorrow morning
when you come to school again, will
you do that? Will you wonder why and
wonder why? Will you wonder why
storks don't come to Shora to build their
nests on the roofs, the way they do in the
villages around? For sometimes when
we wonder , we can make things begin
to happen."
"If you'll do that -- then school is out right
now!"

My father read Penrod over and over again! He would pick up a copy at my house and read it aloud to us--even towards the end of his life. He loved that book. (It's a very old book.) For me, it was Little Women, and the Scarlet Pimpernel, and maybe more, but these come to mind now.
Tolkien!!!! I do not know how many times I have reread it since high school. I loved the Anne of Green Gable series too.
